I was first introduced to ceramics during high school. At first, I saw this class as a time to have fun and goof off. Little did I know the impact that one class would have on my creative journey. Ever since then, life has been a delicate dance of balancing dreams with reality.
Amidst the chaos of 2020, I felt I needed a safe career. After wasting so much time deciding what I want to do with my life, I pursued a degree in welding at a trade school. It was during this time that I rediscovered working with my hands has always been a strong suit. Although this was the “safe” path, a desire for creative control has always been paramount in my mind.
Throughout all of this I have been making pottery in some for or another; whether it be having a wheel in my apartment or having friends let me use their garage to fire things, I always found a way to work on my craft. While this is still not a full time job for me, I strive to make my passion at least a part time career.
